Romans
12:2
And
be not conformed to this world: but be ye
Transformed
by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and
Acceptable,
and perfect will of God.
What Does Your Mind Think?
We
think our thoughts are hidden. That our thoughts won't hurt anyone. But they do, they hurt our walk with God.
The main important one knows our every thought. Psalms 94:11 The Lord knoweth
the thoughts of man, that they are vanity. Psalms 139:2 Thou knowest my
downsitting and mine uprising, thou understands my thoughts afar off.
Isa
55:8 for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,
saith the Lord.
Are
your thoughts the Lords? Are your ways his ways? The Lord knows everything
about us from the time we get up until we lay down and even while we are
sleeping, and he knows every thought. But we neglect him. We worry about what every one else thinks
about us. Are there things you won't do in front of some people or things you
don't want people to know? The Lord already knows.
Matt.
10:28 And fear not them, which kill the body, but are not able to kill the
soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
What
does your mind think? Do you think thoughts that if some one could read them it
would hurt them? Don't you think it hurts God when we think these thoughts?
Sometimes our thoughts might even be against God? And he knows, he reads our
every thought. So we should be more careful about what we let our minds think.
(Oh, be careful little mind what you think, Oh be careful little mind what you
think for the Father up above is looking down with Love Oh, be careful little
mind what you think!) We think of these songs as being for children but we as
adults need to pay close attention to some of these songs. Matt. 18:3-4 And
said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little
children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore
shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom
of heaven.
We
can't help when some thoughts come, because the enemy sends them, but we can
help if we accept them or if we dwell on them. Matt. 15:19 For out of the heart
proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false
witness, blasphemies. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. This scripture shows we can help our
thoughts by renewing them. Every day we need to say Lord renew my mind give me
the mind of Christ. Christ did not and does not have negative thoughts. 2 Cor.
10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to
the pulling down of strongholds.
Casting
down imaginations, and every high thing that exaltheth itself against the
knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of
Christ. It is very important that we take every thought captive. We cannot do
this alone we have to depend on God, and thru prayer. When these thoughts come take it captive to God and see where the
thought came from. We need to get in the Word and study and memorize the word.
Here is another area we think children should memorize the word but we
don't. We are the ones who need it, so
we can fight against the enemy. If we don't know what the word says how will we
know where some of our thoughts our coming from? If we have the word memorized
we can quote back to the enemy it is written... If Jesus had to quote the word
to the enemy what makes us think we don’t have to. But if you don’t know the
word you can't quote it and the enemy has a stronghold over us, because he
knows the word!
Proverbs
12:5 The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked
are deceit. I looked up righteous in the dictionary and it lead me to
Godliness- Holy living and righteous behavior which issues from devotion to
God. Godliness also leads to love for others. (1 Thess. 4:7-9) For God hath not
called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
He
therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto
us his holy spirit.
He
therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto
us his holy Spirit.
But
as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves
are taught of God to love one another.
The
more devoted and closer we get to God the less of these thoughts we will have
and we will have more love for others. And a more POSITIVE life!
But
it takes work, we have to fight against this flesh and study, memorize, pray,
renew our minds and search our hearts. Remember our heart, mind, tongue, lips,
ears all work together. What we think, we will in up speaking, and if we think
it long enough it will take root and we will act what we think. What goes in
our ears goes to our mind, and we dwell on it, then it goes to our heart, and
that will be what determines our spiritual life. What goes in your ears?
Proverbs 23:7a FOR AS HE THINKS IN HIS HEART, SO IS HE.
Oh,
be careful little eyes what you see, Oh be careful little eyes what you see for
the Father up above is looking down with love Oh be careful little eyes what
you see. Oh, be careful little ears what you hear, Oh, be careful little mouth
what you say, Oh, be careful little mind what you think, Oh be careful little
hands what you do. Oh be careful little feet where you go.
Can
we say tonight? Psalm 139:23 Search me, Oh God, and know my heart, try me, and
know my thoughts. Do we really want the Lord to search us, and know our hearts
and know our thoughts? Are there rooms in our hearts we don't even want the
Lord
to go? Do we have thoughts we don't want him to know? Do we do things we
wouldn't even what some people to know let alone God? He already knows.
