Welcome to Robin's View

And be renewed in the Spirit of your mind.

Ephesians 4:23

Do You Have The Mind Of Christ?

2Cor. 10: 4,5

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exaltheth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity EVERY THOUGHT to the obedience of Christ.

Just take a moment and think on how powerful our minds are! Right now you are using your mind to think on this subject or maybe you are thinking on something else.  We constantly use our minds, to think, imagine, recall past events, plan, pray, praise, worship, sing, dream.

Romans 1:21

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their IMAGINATIONS, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Romans 8:5-9

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.  Now if any men have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Ephesians 4:22-32

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

And be RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF YOUR MIND;

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Wherefore putting away lying, speaks every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Neither gives place to the devil.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that, which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you with all malice:

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 5:18-21

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing, and making melody in your heart of the Lord;

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Each and every day we Battle the Battlefield of the mind. It is up to us what we do with this battle. Are we that soldier that is there till the battle is won or are we the soldier that gave up or will give up to easy. If we don't win this battle and be determine to fight until we win we will not have a close relationship with God, because the scripture tells us that carnal minded is enmity with God. God has to be in our minds. How does God get in our Minds?

1Cor. 10:21

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

When fleshly thoughts come we must take them captive and renew our minds to the mind of Christ.

Because like this verse says we cannot drink of the cup of the Lord and the cup of devils. When we get fleshly thoughts, we know they are not of God, so they have to be of the devils. What are Fleshly thoughts? Hate, theft, fornication, adultery, murder, evil thoughts, doubt, fear, lies, jealousy, discouragement or any thought that does not line up with the word of God. When these thoughts come check and see what Spirit they come from?

1John 4:1a

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God:

 Thoughts are powerful! Electricity started with a thought, and then it was acted on and now we have electricity. When people have talked to serial killers or just mothers who have killed their children, they say they heard a voice tell them to do it. Do you think they herd this voice out loud? No it was in their heads, and yes it was a real voice. Was it of God? No, because God says thou shall not murder.

When David saw Bath-sheba he started thinking how beautiful she was and he dwelled on those thoughts and soon acted them out.  Why? Because he did not take those thoughts captive, and put on the mind of Christ, and because of that sin he lost his son and grieved greatly. Before someone commits suicide it started with a thought, such as no cares about, you will never mount to nothing, this is Hell here on earth if you kill yourself you want feel anymore pain.  That person acts on the thoughts and then they commit suicide. Was that thought of God?

No, because God tells us we are fearfully and wonderfully made and thou shall not kill. When listening to music where does the music go?  To the mind. Have you ever woke up or be walking around and a song comes in your mind?  Movies we watched were do they go? In our minds. How do we know? Do you ever have flash backs from movies or fall asleep and dream about something you had just watched on TV? Why does this happen? Because it was stored in our mind.  We have to be careful what we place in our minds because that effects what we think and how we react.

Do you feed your mind more carnal (fleshly) things or more spiritual?  Whatever you feed your mind is what kind of person you will be. Are you carnal or spiritual?  We need to give God more time than we give the world.  Who is the God of this world?

2Cor. 4:4

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them, which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Exodus 20:3

Thou shall have no other gods before me.

Which god is your god? We have to live in this world and there are things we take part in that are worldly such as: work, play, fairs, beach, vacations, games, ballgames, TV, radio, school, shopping and the list goes on and on.  Some of these we have to because it is part of the world and in order to survive you have to do them, some are just for pleasure. There is nothing wrong with pleasure or taking part in the worldly events but be WISE in your choice.  We are in the world so we cannot avoid the world completely and God provided the world for our pleasures also.  But no matter where we go or what we do God always has to be first in our lives.  Not just by saying it. It is easy to say he is first.  But is he?  Words are easy. Actions are not!  What is in the heart will come out in actions. We need to remember to take every thought captive, renew our minds daily and renew a right spirit in us and get in to the word! Study, memorize, and dwell on the word

Col 3:12

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Romans 15:6

That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1Cor. 2:16

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Acts 17:11

These were nobler than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Philip. 2:5

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

Can you say you have the mind of Christ?
